Cryo Stop rotors are cryogenically
treated
smooth faced premium rotor castings. They use the same premium rotor
castings as Stop Tech
slotted performance rotors but are kept smooth to reduce
costs. This rotor option
is meant to offer a bridge to your customers between economical OEM
replacement rotors and
slotted performance rotors.
While Cryo Stop rotors will not outperform their slotted
counterparts, they
will outperform and outlast OEM replacements because they are
cryogenically treated premium
rotor castings. Cryogenic treatment is a one-time process in which the
rotor is cooled to
negative 300 degrees and then slowly brought back to ambient
temperature. This process
permanently changes the rotor on an atomic level, resulting in a denser,
stronger product able
to withstand greater braking forces for longer periods of time. Cryo-treated rotors have a longer
lifespan and can last up to 3x longer than an untreated rotor.
